Safe & Natural

Vampire Facial or PRP is derived from your own biological make-up, there is almost no risk of allergic reaction with the treatment.

Vampire Facial

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) aka Vampire Facial
In a Vampire Facial or PRP treatment, blood is collected from you in 1-2 specially designed tubes which are then centrifuged for 5-10 minutes. During centrifugation, a patented gel within the tubes isolates PRP from other unrequired cells within the blood.

PRP is then ready for application by injection back into the skin.

Following the procedure, patients can resume normal activity almost immediately.

PRP & Vampire Facial treatment is suitable for:

  • Tired and dry skin, laxity of skin, uneven pigmentation

The Vampire Facial at Beauty Bar Medical Clinic– involves the use of an ‘aerating’ Eclipse MicroPen for micro needling or collagen induction therapy. A certified nurse uses the Eclipse MicroPen to gently aerate the skin, and then topically applies serums or skin care products.  The tiny micro perforations made by the Eclipse MicroPen allow for easier absorption of serum, product or even your own Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP); hence the name Vampire Facial.  The Eclipse MicroPen has proven extremely useful in the treatment of skin scarring, acne, sun damage and a host of other skin care procedures

The Vampire Facelift is similar to an injectable filler but instead of injecting a substance like hyaluronic acid or collagen, the procedure involves withdrawing a bit of your own blood so that it can be processed to concentrate the amount of platelets and other elements vital in tissue building. This processed blood is then reinjected to achieve the same volume-boosting results that any other injectable filler achieves, making the skin smoother and reshaping facial contours.

Is it safe?

Because PRP is derived from your own biological make-up, there is almost no risk of allergic reaction with the treatment. However, you do need to disclose all medications that you are currently taking, including herbs and supplements, to your technician.

Is it right for me? Can anyone have this treatment?

PRP is well suited for most people, talk to your doctor to see if  PRP is suitable for you
PRP is an autologous treatment, meaning that it is only your own cells being put back into your skin.
8-24ml of your blood is collected in a similar way to a blood test.
This is spun down in a centrifuge using the specially designed RegenLab PRP tube that separates the PRP from the red blood cells. The PRP portion of the tube is then drawn up into a syringe ready for re-injection into the skin.
A tiny quantity of platelet activator called Calcium Chloride may be added, which is found naturally in your blood.
Topical anaesthetic cream may be applied before  injection, meaning re-injection causes little to no pain.

How often should I do a Vampire Facial or PRP Treatment?

This may vary depending on your skin condition, lifestyle and your expectations. 3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart is normal. Once you and the doctor are happy with the results you can simply maintain the look with top-up treatments maybe every 12-24 months.

What can I expect following my PRP treatment?

Most patients go straight back to work after the procedure

  • Injections can cause minor bruising and swelling
  • Some patients may want to touch up the treated area with make-up before resuming their day
  • Some patients report a tingling sensation after injection

When will I start to see results?

Typically first results are visible 2 weeks weeks after treatment and full results around 4 months after, as platelets stimulate the release of growth factors which assist in collagen regeneration. Increasing the collagen in your skin means over time your skin will appear rejuvenated, younger and fresher looking. Results will vary from one individual to the other.

How long do results last for?

Treatment results vary however in most patients the results last up to 18 months. Touch up treatments will maintain the results as well.  Visit one of our 5 clinics in downtown Toronto, North York, and Los Angeles for a free no obligation consultation to see if you are a suitable candidate for vampire facial or PRP treatment.
