Results and Aftercare for JUVÉDERM | Dermal Fillers**
Possible side effects include redness, pain, and tenderness, as well as some swelling and bruising at the injection site, although these are temporary. As with all injections, there is a slight risk of infection.
You should avoid exposure to the sun, heat, and cold during the first 24 hours after the treatment, as well as abstain from alcohol and exercise. Avoid rubbing the injected area for at least 48 hours. By taking these steps, you will give the hyaluronic acid in the JUVÉDERM time to properly bind with the collagen and elastin fibres in your skin.
While your body will eventually break up the hyaluronic acid and the effects will fade after roughly 6 months to one year, you can contact one of our locations for a touch-up treatment. Repeated treatments will mean that less JUVÉDERM will be required on each occasion.
